What is a an IEP and 504 Plan Evaluation?  

Sometimes people say IEP Evaluation or 504 Evaluation.  What they mean is a comprehensive evaluation to determine if child or adolescent has an educational disability or impairment that requires specially designed instruction (aka...special education services) or accommodations to gain equal access to curriculum, instruction, or services (504 plan). 

This is accomplished by conducting various types of testing such as cognitive, academic, and sometimes social-emotional-behavioral evaluations.
